July 3rd, 2022<\/em><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>STANDBY DUTIES ARE NOT ASSIGNED<\/div>\n<div>HOUSING IS PROVIDED<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div><strong>Duties<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong><em>Our Fish Hatchery Technician,\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conducts weighing feed, physically or mechanically distributing feed to rearing containers, weight samples of fish to determine feed rations.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Assists with treatment calculations and measuring water inflows.<\/li>\n<li>Assists with daily set up and loads fish into marking trailer during clipping season.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Picks, enumerates, and loads hatching trays with eyed eggs, picking and enumerating fry.<\/li>\n<li>Washes and cleans ponds, water intakes, tanks, troughs, and egg trays.<\/li>\n<li>Assists with administering chemical and medicated feed treatments.<\/li>\n<li>Assists in measuring and maintaining proper flows to the hatchery.<\/li>\n<li>Operates a seine net, weighs screen buckets of fish and lifts nets or buckets out of the pond repetitively.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Handles or sorts adult salmonids for surplus and spawning.<\/li>\n<li>Records data including, but not limited to egg, fry and juvenile mortality, weight samples, feed usage, chemical use.<\/li>\n<li>Operates hand and power tools in order to facilitate hatchery maintenance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Work Setting, including hazards:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>Work is performed outside in all weather conditions.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Schedule:<\/strong>\u00a0\n<ol>\n<li>Typically, work schedule is 8:00 am &#8211;
