The webinars are designed to help land managers and event facilitators better engage communities that have been historically underrepresented on public lands, including Spanish-speaking, the Disability, and LGBTQ+ communities. Each webinar will focus on engaging a one of these underrepresented communities.<\/p>\n<p>NEEF has partnered with Pride Outside to host the third webinar on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at 2:00pm EDT. During the webinar, presenters will discuss barriers to access and share best practices for boosting relevancy and inclusion for the LGBTQ+ community at outdoor engagement events, such as National Public Lands Day.<\/p>\n<p>During this event, we will:<br \/>\n&#8211; Outline barriers to outdoor access for the LGBTQ+ community.<br \/>\n&#8211; Share best practices to build inclusion into programming and outreach to include LGBTQ+ communities in community engagements events, and volunteer service events on public lands.<br \/>\n&#8211; Highlight successful initiatives developing connections between the LGBTQ+ community and the outdoors.<\/p>\n<p>Guest Speaker:<br \/>\nHannah Malvin, Founder and Director of Pride Outside<\/p>\n<p>Live captions will be provided for this event (English).
