Warren Wilson College is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Sustainability Studies, Environmental Studies or related field<\/li>\n<li>Two years professional experience in private or public sustainability management<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated experience with data management platforms including proficiency in Excel &amp; Microsoft Suite<\/li>\n<li>Two years supervisory experience<\/li>\n<li>Must have a valid NC Driver&#8217;s License at time of employment<\/li>\n<li>Experience with and ability to train students on heavy equipment including tractors and forklifts<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of budget oversight and maintenance<\/li>\n<li>Evidence of knowledge related to specific OSHA regulations and safety procedures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master\u2019s degree in Sustainability Studies, Environmental Studies or related field<\/li>\n<li>More than two years of supervisory experience with traditional college aged students<\/li>\n<li>Membership in professional sustainability organization(s)<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated proficiency in STARS, SIMAP, LEED, or other GHG accounting and sustainability data-tracking platforms<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>ENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURE<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Outdoor exposure in all kinds of weather may occur.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sustainability Initiatives<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In consultation with the Dean of Land Resources and Director of Sustainability, implements campus-wide sustainability initiatives with emphasis on environmental sustainability<\/li>\n<li>Works with college stakeholders to collect, manage and report data that supports sustainability initiatives and outcomes<\/li>\n<li>Contributes to the College\u2019s AASHE STARS Report in collaboration with the Director of Sustainability<\/li>\n<li>Manages the College\u2019s composting\/organic waste operation<\/li>\n<li>Collaborates with the Business Department on aspects of green entrepreneurship<\/li>\n<li>Collaborates with staff and faculty to develop educational opportunities focused on sustainability for internal and external community members<\/li>\n<li>Collaborates with the Conservation Exchange and Marketing to promote sustainability initiatives through social media, newsletters and other media outlets<\/li>\n<li>Concentration of a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Work Program<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Interacts daily with students working on sustainability initiatives in a supervisory role<\/li>\n<li>Guides students through the learning and performance goals and evaluations process in a timely manner, mentor students to support their professional and educational development<\/li>\n<li>Observes safety standards and procedures as required by OSHA and Warren Wilson College;
