We strongly suggest that you watch<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/351608815\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> this<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> introduction to BCL before applying.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/citizensclimatelobby.org\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Citizens\u2019 Climate Lobby <\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(CCL)\u2019s mission is to create the political will for a sustainable climate and to empower individuals to have breakthroughs in exercising their personal and political power.\u00a0 To solve the climate crisis our methods include education on the science, economics, politics, and public awareness surrounding climate change. CCL works by training citizens in the skills needed to affect change. We meet with Congressional leaders, write letters to the editors of national and local newspapers and attend monthly national conference calls. Most importantly we are action-oriented. Our goal is to match what scientists tell us with practical solutions that can be enacted legislatively.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">BCL\/CCL is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity organization. the Associate\u2019s skills and interests, position responsibilities are flexible, but will include working with committee members on some or all of the following&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Create target email lists of businesses by industry (eg, brewers, wineries, seafood processors, etc)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Review websites for environmental statements that would help find likely supporters<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Develop an email campaign to these targets<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Create and implement graphic design work on BCL documents<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Develop editorial content from sources provided by the Communications Committee.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Attend virtual Steering Committee meetings and log action items<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Suggest how BCL can better reach out to younger, more diversified group of CCL volunteers.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Manage\/develop social media campaign<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Connecting with local CCL chapter to target key businesses in your local area<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Research on topics related to business advocacy and impact of carbon pricing on certain sectors.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">QUALIFICATIONS:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, email, social media<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Passion for environmental advocacy and social change<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Excellent communication skills<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Work collaboratively and meet
