Our organization is volunteer based and organized by congressional districts.\u00a0 CCL staff train and support volunteers to build relationships with elected officials and the media to empower their own local communities, generate the political will for fair, effective climate solutions in line with science and political viability.\u00a0 CCL prides itself in its unique approach to educating elected officials on climate action, particularly bipartisan action.\u00a0 We aim to build upon shared values rather than partisan divides, and empowering our supporters to work in keeping with the concerns of their local communities. Interns receive:\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Free registration to the Citizens\u2019 Climate International Conference\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Priority consideration for CCL\u2019s fellowships and scholarships.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Academic credit can be considered in consultation with the intern\u2019s academic advisor.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>INTERN POSITION REPORTS TO: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">CCL Education &amp; Engagement Director, Brett Cease<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>LOCATION:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> online (off-site applicants with strong internet connection and work ethic)\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>PAYMENT: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">unpaid<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>SCHEDULE\/TIME COMMITMENT: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Interns will complete 10 hours per week for one semester or 4 months. Some work will be completed asynchronously and some completed together under weekly supervision online (specific hours are negotiable).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>RESPONSIBILITIES<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Write regular outlines and Google slide designs for CCL webinars (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/community.citizensclimatelobby.org\/learn\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">see Training Topics<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Respond to emerging volunteer questions<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Generate content for CCL Community, CCL\u2019s volunteer learning portal, and handle elements of its management<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Research and pitch training ideas<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Learn CCL advocacy methodologies; participate in monthly conference calls<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Attend and staff a CCL national conference in Washington, D.C.
