This coalition coordinates with CCE\u2019s sister 501(c)(4) organization, Citizens\u2019 Climate Lobby (CCL), when volunteers engage in advocacy for specific legislation. This position will work within CCE to initiate and implement outreach to young adult conservatives and Republicans on carbon pricing and carbon dividends as a mechanism to mitigate climate change.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>POSITION REPORTS TO:<\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">CCE\u2019s Conservative Outreach Coordinator<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>SCHEDULE\/TIME COMMITMENT:<\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">April 5, 2021 through December 18, 2021 (or alternate to be set) at roughly 10 hours per week. Includes check-in calls with CCE\u2019s Conservative Outreach Coordinator twice per month &amp; web-based Fellows team calls twice per month. Fellows will work remotely. Daily\/weekly schedules are flexible.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>RESPONSIBILITIES STRUCTURED AROUND THE FOLLOWING GOALS:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Build a network of conservative and Republican young adults who are interested in climate policy that you engage on a regular basis.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Train young conservatives and Republicans to voice a constructive message for putting a price on carbon emissions. Actions may include:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">speaking at events &amp; hosting meetings &amp; events to discuss climate policy &#8211; in person or virtual<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">publish media supporting carbon pricing: social media, local &amp; regional papers, podcasts<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">participating in organizations and events to network with conservatives<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Develop, propose, test &amp; implement outreach methods to young adult conservatives &amp; Republicans.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Provide occasional administrative support including email, calls, research and data entry.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>REQUIREMENTS:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Demonstrated networking &amp; communication skills especially related to conservative outreach<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">An understanding of carbon pricing as a mechanism for climate mitigation<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ability to work collaboratively, to meet deadlines, and to self direct your actions<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and U.S. citizens<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Supply your own computer with internet access and transportation for outreach events<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>COMPENSATION:<\/b><b>\u00a0 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The successful applicant will receive a stipend of $3,520 over the 44-week Fellowship (stipend to be adjusted according to start\/end date).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We do not provide Workers Compensation Insurance for fellows, interns or volunteers.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>TO APPLY:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Send your resume, a statement of why you are interested, and an overview of your experience to:<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Kelsey Grant, Conservative Outreach Coordinator, to kelsey.grant@citizensclimatelobby.org<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">CCE &amp; CCL are non-partisan, non-profit organizations with educational programs and lobbying activities [501(c)(3) and (c)(4) designations].
