1 years<\/p>\n<p>See full details at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservationjobboard.com\/job-listing-environmental-educator-augusta-georgia\/1592991941\">https:\/\/www.conservationjobboard.com\/job-listing-environmental-educator-augusta-georgia\/1592991941<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Environmental Educator job duties include the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Leads and assists with all necessary tasks associated with Phinizy Center\u2019s Education programs, such as:\n<ul>\n<li>K \u2013 12th grade school field trips<\/li>\n<li>Toddler programs, as needed<\/li>\n<li>Summer camp<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Leads, motivates, and ensures the safety of students as they participate in age-appropriate activities<\/li>\n<li>Assists with set-up and clean-up of school field trips and other education programs<\/li>\n<li>Assists with off-site education\/outreach events, as needed<\/li>\n<li>Cleans, maintains, and ensures proper use of education facilities and equipment<\/li>\n<li>Acts as a park ambassador for visitors and the public<\/li>\n<li>Follows all emergency procedures and enforces park rules<\/li>\n<li>Other duties as needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>DESIRABLE JOB PREREQUISITES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Education\/Training\/Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><u>Minimum Education Required<\/u>: Bachelor Degree in Science, such as Environmental Science, Environmental Education, or other related field<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated knowledge of natural history<\/li>\n<li>Experience in environmental education<\/li>\n<li>Experience working with children<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to work well in a team setting and set personal high performance and quality standards, which enable the team to be successful<\/li>\n<li>Takes initiative and has a high level of responsibility and accountability<\/li>\n<li>Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with co-workers, supervisors, the public, and all other customers, including being sensitive to professional ethics, gender, cultural diversities, and disabilities<\/li>\n<li>Strong customer service ethic in delivery of services<\/li>\n<li>Upbeat and engaging with strong public speaking skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work with and manage students of all ages<\/li>\n<li>Punctual with good time management skills<\/li>\n<li>An appreciation for and understanding of natural habitats and systems;
