This internship is for you!<\/p>\n<p>At Zovargo, you\u2019ll quickly be in front of the crowd (virtual or small in-person groups) gaining experience and getting trained on animal handling, husbandry, and conservation presentation techniques in working with various audiences. You&#8217;ll learn how to deliver engaging animal programs that inspire future generations!<\/p>\n<p>This Internship working with animals is open to applicants located in San Diego, Ca only.<\/p>\n<p>The internship will provide college credit wherever applicable as this is not a paid program.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be 18, have your own vehicle, be the registered owner, and have a driver license.<\/li>\n<li>Must have means to accommodate gas expense. Travel is a requirement in this position.<\/li>\n<li>Must have a smart phone and be able to navigate successfully to events.<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to dedicate six months of time to the internship and be available to the minimum commitment of one program per week.<\/li>\n<li>Should have experience speaking in front of audiences.<\/li>\n<li>Should have experience handling animals.<\/li>\n<li>Should have experience working with children\/youth.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Deliver engaging, interactive, educational programs (virtually and in-person) to audiences of all ages.<\/li>\n<li>Provide education programs as a team with other educators.<\/li>\n<li>Follow Animal Handling Protocols for Animal Ambassadors.<\/li>\n<li>Provide Animal Husbandry as a keeper.<\/li>\n<li>Abide by Code of Conduct and Animal Policies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>About Zovargo<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are an innovative, award-winning organization providing educational, live animal programs for schools, scouts, libraries, and special events.
