The work involves data input for the maintenance of records, examination, and verification of various fiscal documents. This position is required to assist in the preparation and interpretation of financial reports produced by automated and manual accounting systems.<\/p>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 1\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p><strong>SENIOR:<\/strong> Leads subordinates in fiscal procedures. Trains and develops subordinates in financial matters and procedures. Positions allocated to this class assist in the management and operation of a divisional fiscal unit. Maintains inventory control of materials from time sheets according to inventory control number and quantity used. Posts incoming supplies and materials to correct inventory account number. Coding time sheets with appropriate BARS and Activity Based Cost System numbering.<\/p>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 1\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p><strong>SENIOR<\/strong>: Responsible for complete accounting cycle of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash control for one or more Funds. Prepare, audit, examine, verify, and process final documents such as vouchers, purchase requests, invoices, receipts, time reports, payroll\/personnel related documents, and cash accountability and control forms.<\/p>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 1\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 1\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p><strong>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE<\/strong>&#8211; (Any equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities, required to perform the job may be considered.)<\/p>\n<p><strong>FINANCIAL ANALYST<\/strong>: Associate&#8217;s Degree in Accounting, or two (2) years of accounting experience. Preferably in Public Sector and\/or Public Works<\/p>\n<p><strong>SENIOR<\/strong>: Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Accounting, and four (4) years of governmental accounting, budgeting, and auditing experience. Preferably in Public Works.<\/p>\n<p><strong>KNOWLEDGE OF<\/strong>: Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Washington State Budgeting, Accounting and Reporting System (BARS) required for financial reporting by the State Auditor\u2019s Office. Computers, specifically Microsoft Excel and Word programs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SKILLED IN:<\/strong> Computerized accounting programs and spreadsheets<\/p>\n<p><strong>ABILITY TO<\/strong>: Handle a variety of tasks simultaneously in a calm and efficient manner. Communicate tactfully and courteously with the public and other employees, both in person and on the telephone.
