Please contact Human Resources. Contact info. below) Responsible for supervision, care, custody, and transportation of detained juveniles. Also performs facility maintenance and meal service. This is a full-time position, which may involve working the weekends, nights and holidays.<\/p>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 1\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p><strong>Examples of Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Performs admissions and releases of juveniles, patrols the detention center to maintain order, conducts searches of residents for illegal articles and weapons, document daily activities, and assists juveniles with education and health requirements.<\/p>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 1\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p><strong>Minimum Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Preference given to applicants with BA or BS in social or behavioral sciences. High school diploma or G.E.D., specialized training in corrections, social work, or related field, and one year of work experience in corrections, social services or comparable position dealing with the public; or any combination of education and experience which would provide the applicant with desired skills, knowledge and ability to perform the job.<\/p>\n<p>Must possess a valid WA State Driver\u2019s License with good driving record, and ability to work graveyard shifts. Selected candidates are subject to pre-employment polygraph test and complete background check and must obtain a food handler\u2019s permit prior to employment.
