The hiring authority reserves the right to fill this position at any time after that date without notice.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><strong>If you have previously applied, you do not need to reapply.<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>For more information on Washington State parks please visit\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.parks.wa.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here!<\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you have questions regarding this recruitment, please contact the manager listed in the &#8220;Supplemental Information&#8221; section of this publication.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Under the supervision of the Park Ranger, this position is essential to the state park&#8217;s mission of operating, enhancing, and protecting our Parks&#8217; recreational, cultural, historical and natural sites. \u00a0The Senior Park Aide will assist and contribute toward all aspects of park operations and will lead work responsibilities.<\/p>\n<p>Duties include but are not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead Park Aides<\/li>\n<li>Perform grounds maintenance and cleaning of all park facilities, including picnic sites,\u00a0cabins, campsites, trails, restrooms, and roads.<\/li>\n<li>Perform daily garbage collection and litter control.<\/li>\n<li>Clean restrooms and stock\u00a0cleaning\u00a0supplies.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain the boat launch ramp.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain park\u00a0facilities through light routine and\u00a0semi-skilled maintenance and janitorial services.<\/li>\n<li>Perform grounds keeping maintenance using power and hand\u00a0tools to clear brush and trees,\u00a0prune shrubs, and rake leaves.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain park lawns using a mower, weed eater, trimmers, and various maintenance tools.<\/li>\n<li>Register campers, collect, sort, and count revenue; prepare bank transmittals and deposits.<\/li>\n<li>Provide park information to visitors and educating the public regarding park rules and regulations, local events, activities, and historic information.<\/li>\n<li>Collect, sort, and count park revenue.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare attendance and interpretive reports, equipment usage reports, and safety logs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Twelve (12) months of experience in building maintenance or grounds keeping, or performing semi-skilled\/general carpentry, electrical and\/or plumbing repair work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>OR<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Six (6) months cumulative experience as a Park Aide (or equivalent),\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>OR\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Twelve (12) months experience in a special employment program (Washington Conservation Corps) with a parks agency.
