The ROEs should be written to be logical and easy to read, to allow the reader to quickly and clearly understand the recommendation and decision.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Makes recommendations regarding technical water rights data pertinent to applications for new water rights and\/or change applications.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Assists with routine field inspections and collection of necessary information and field data, and preparation of reports.<\/li>\n<li>Testifies before the Pollution Control Hearings Board and\/or Superior Courts in support of water rights permit decisions.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Qualifications<\/h4>\n<p><strong><u>Required Qualifications:\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>At the Environmental Specialist 2 \u2013 Salary Range \u2013 45 \u2013 ($3,535 &#8211; $4,627) \u2013 (In-Training)<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There are multiple ways to qualify for these positions. See options listed below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Option 1:<\/strong>\u00a0Five years of professional level experience in environmental analysis or control or environmental planning and\/or a combination of experience and education<strong>\u00a0with coursework in the following areas of study:\u00a0<\/strong>environmental, physical, or one of the natural sciences, environmental planning, or related field.\u00a0<strong>See chart below:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Option 2:<\/strong>\u00a0A Bachelor&#8217;s degree involving a major study in environmental, physical, or one of the natural sciences, environmental planning or related field\u00a0<strong>AND<\/strong>\u00a0one year of professional level experience in environmental analysis or control or environmental planning.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Option 3:<\/strong>\u00a0A Master&#8217;s degree in one of the above fields.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Option 4:<\/strong>\u00a0One year of experience as an Environmental Specialist 1, at the Department of Ecology.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>At the Environmental Specialist 3 \u2013 Salary Range \u2013 49 \u2013 ($3,887 &#8211; $5,102) \u2013 Goal Classification<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There are multiple ways to qualify for these positions.
