Responsibilities include vessel operations, maintenance, and serving as an educator in the Foundation\u2019s Environmental Literacy and Public Sail programs. This is a paid position with housing provided in the Foundation\u2019s shoreside Staff Housing Facility in Chestertown. Partial board is also provided with this position. Previous experience in traditional sailing and education are preferred but not required.<\/p>\n
The Sultana Education Foundation and the schooner SULTANA will operate in 2021 adhering to current Federal, State and local guidance related to Covid-19. Details will be provided during the application process. Circumstances permitting, the Foundation intends to have deckhand\/educators arrive in Chestertown in late June for uprigging and maintenance in anticipation of a late August start to SULTANA\u2019s sailing season.<\/p>\n
