This position includes administrative support and also acts as a liaison between the Tahoe Resource Conservation District (Tahoe RCD) and the California Tahoe Conservancy (Conservancy). This position may require flexible work hours when needed including holidays, evenings and weekends.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Primary Duties-Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"job-frame-description-content\">\n<p><strong><u>Crew Supervision and Daily Operations<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Direct daily operations and supervision of up to twenty (20) field crew members<\/li>\n<li>Schedule and prioritize field crew activities, May through November<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate field projects with Conservancy and Tahoe RCD staff<\/li>\n<li>Assist in scheduling Wildlife surveys, coordinate related staffing needs and meetings<\/li>\n<li>Implement and oversee maintenance, restoration &amp; forestry projects on Conservancy lands. Ensure projects are implemented in accordance with project plans<\/li>\n<li>Ensure daily project activities are properly documented<\/li>\n<li>Inspect California Tahoe Conservancy lands and identify management issues<\/li>\n<li>Interact with members of the public, various vendors, and partner agencies<\/li>\n<li>Assist with warehouse maintenance and repair needs<\/li>\n<li>Conduct crew performance evaluations<\/li>\n<li>Enforce Tahoe RCD policies; resolve field crew conflicts in a fair and professional manner; initiate disciplinary actions as needed<\/li>\n<li>Ensure safety and proper work practices; conduct safety meetings and other appropriate training topics<\/li>\n<li>Report injuries and incidents that occur during normal field operations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Administrative Support<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Recruit, interview, hire seasonal field crew staff;<\/li>\n<li>Plan and prepare training and orientation materials and activities \u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Carry out administrative duties including timesheet and invoice approval and tracking<\/li>\n<li>Oversee maintenance and inventory of field equipment and vehicles<\/li>\n<li>Assist in procuring equipment and materials following specific guidelines<\/li>\n<li>Utilize GPS equipped tablets for property inspection and work order creation purposes<\/li>\n<li>Utilize Property Data Management System software to create, edit, and print work order information<\/li>\n<li>Perform data entry; GIS map creation, protocol development<\/li>\n<li>Develop progress and end of season reports<\/li>\n<li>Attend regular staff meetings for both agencies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Required Qualifications and Abilities<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Demonstrate strong leadership and supervisory abilities<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and remain organized<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of public relations and conflict resolution<\/li>\n<li>Ability to represent the Tahoe RCD and the Conservancy in a professional manner<\/li>\n<li>Ability to effectively communicate orally and in written form with peers, staff, public and agency partners<\/li>\n<li>Ability to assess a situation and develop constructive solutions<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work safely and cooperatively in a group setting under a variety of working conditions<\/li>\n<li>Ability to perform manual labor in rough terrain, lift heavy objects, and work in various weather conditions<\/li>\n<li>Office skills and experience;
