Work assignments would include working up to 25-40 hours a week depending on workload and availability. Responsibilities will include assisting recording fish data, identifying fish species, water quality monitoring, and performing fish exclusion work.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"DEFAULT\">\n<p dir=\"LTR\">You will support several Master Service Agreement contracts scheduled to start in July and August for Transportation agencies.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\"><b>About On-Call Employment with ICF <\/b><\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">Given the seasonal or project-specific nature of our environmental work, ICF often hires environmental professionals as \u201cOn-Call\u201d employees. On-Call employees are scheduled for work hours as they become available (we usually schedule work hours a few weeks ahead of time), and each on-call employee is free to accept or refuse the hours assigned to them in a given week. On-Call employees may work concurrent projects outside of their ICF assignment (along as their outside work does not create a conflict of interest with the work they do for ICF).<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\"><b>What You Must Have<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>B.S. in Biology, or 1-2 years of field experience<\/li>\n<li>Direct experience in fish capture and handling<\/li>\n<li>Have completed a two-day electrofishing class<\/li>\n<li>Training in Western Washington freshwater fish ecology and identification<\/li>\n<li>Have completed at least 100 hours of electrofishing experience in the Pacific Northwest<\/li>\n<li>Solid field skills, including the ability to navigate using maps and GPS<\/li>\n<li>Strong oral and written communication skills &amp; ability to prepare field data forms.<\/li>\n<li>Experience using sampling and water quality monitoring equipment<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience operating small (15-25\u2019) boats desired, but not necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to swim 50 yards without assistance.<\/li>\n<li>Must have valid driver\u2019s license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is an outstanding opportunity to work with talented and passionate individuals and to grow with a firm that believes in nurturing talent and developing long-term career success.
