\u00a7 Performing Environmental Site Assessments (ESA\u2019s) nationwide as well as other property related services.<\/p>\n
\u00a7 Conducting interviews with property owners, occupants, key site personnel and local government officials to obtain information concerning the environmental conditions related to the property and adjacent properties.<\/p>\n
\u00a7 Performing limited screenings for the presence of asbestos, lead-based paint, radon, and lead in drinking water. Screenings may include collection of samples.<\/p>\n
\u00a7 Writing reports, taking into consideration any unique client scope requirements, which convey the environmental assessment and provide exhibits which illustrate or clarify information presented in the body of the report.<\/p>\n

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00b7 Completes Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) to identify Recognized Environmental Conditions (RECs) and other conditions of environmental concerns as outlined in the scope of work.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Turns in completed field notes to BV after completion of onsite assessment.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Conducts interviews with property owners, occupants, key site personnel and local government officials to obtain information concerning the environmental conditions related to the property and adjacent properties.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Performs limited screenings for the presence of asbestos, lead-based paint, radon, and lead in drinking water. Screenings may include collection of samples.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Writes reports, taking into consideration any unique client scope requirements, which convey the environmental assessment and provide exhibits which illustrate or clarify information presented in the body of the report. Provides photographic documentation of the site.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Maintains daily communications with Field Management team and Senior Environmental Consultant to keep them informed of any actual or potential problems including continuous updates of when assigned tasks are to be completed.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Reviews available previous assessment reports, historical and regulatory records for the property and for the surrounding area and reports data in accordance with ASTM criteria and client’s scope of work. The Project Manager is expected to make all reasonable efforts to identify the historical use of the property and surrounding properties.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Climb ladders (including vertical ladders up multiple stories) and\/or steep roof stairs (for each building assessed, at least once per on-site assessment)<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Ability to travel, on average, approximately 50% to 75% of time to client sites across the U.S. via plane and\/or driving as determined based on project location. Common patterns of travel include two days on-site followed by three days at home per week; or one week on-site followed by one week at home. The time at home is spent writing reports that communicate the field findings. Overnight stays away from home may be required.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Due to the possession of special skills or experience, may be assigned to perform various types of services such as, but not limited to: facility condition assessments, structural, mechanical, civil, or environmental surveys; pre-construction document reviews; construction monitoring; desk reviews; report reviews; or document review. This position may also be assigned to provide training programs.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Enhances professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Complies with federal, state and local legal requirements by studying new and existing legislation; anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on necessary action.<\/p>\n

QUALIFICATIONS:<\/b><\/p>\n
Education and\/or Experience<\/b><\/p>\n
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in Environmental Science\/Engineering or related field\u00a0or<\/b>\u00a0equivalent relative experience is preferred; minimum three years\u2019 experience performing Phase I and\/or Phase II environmental inspections including successful completion of 75 -100 Phase I and\/or Phase II inspections.<\/p>\n
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00b7 AHERA, Asbestos Inspector Certification and OSHA-40-hour certification preferred;<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Valid driver’s license is required<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Personal credit sufficient to charge business travel expenses of up to $3,000 required.<\/p>\n
