DESCRIPTION:<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Plan, develop, and implement environmental education communication and outreach initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Develop, implement, and oversee environmental outreach plans, covering a wide variety of environmental topics: energy, water, waste, air, training lands and endangered species.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct presentations to a diverse audience of active duty service members, their families, various groups and organizations.<\/li>\n<li>Support mission areas\/directorates, with communication, education to support compliance with Washington State and Federal regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee development of all educational\/outreach materials for a specific program, resolving and establishing a community outreach strategy, working collaboratively with various stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and update outreach products, news articles, flyers, brochures, posters and presentations.<\/li>\n<li>Develop, implement maintain, and monitor social media and environmental website.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a calendar of outreach activities, including community special events, appearances, and other opportunistic outreach events for the JBLM Community.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with JBLM community, regional stakeholders, and partners to support all of the JBLM environmental sustainability goals<\/li>\n<li>Engagement or coordination of surveys, media articles, group\/individual presentations, special events, and other publicity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>JOB REQUIREMENTS:<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Two years of applicable experience involving environmental analysis, environmental planning, environmental education, community outreach or communications activities and conflict resolution or equivalent education education\/experience.<\/li>\n<li>Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint.<\/li>\n<li>Strong written communication, public speaking, presentations required.<\/li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of social media and other basic marketing platforms.<\/li>\n<li>Skilled in translating complex information to a diverse audience.<\/li>\n<li>Detail orientated with the ability to manage multiple projects at a time and comfortable with meeting deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of DoD preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Motivated, outgoing self-starters
