Highstead Foundation is currently recruiting for remote Conservation Interns for the fall 2021 Semester. Applications must be <strong>submitted by July 17, 2021.<\/strong> The Conservation Interns will support Highstead\u2019s Conservation Program for a twelve-week period from September 20, 2021, to December 10, 2021. Interns will work remotely during the entirety of the internship. Highstead is a regional non-profit conservation organization dedicated to working with regional partners and the best available science to conserve the New England landscape towards the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wildlandsandwoodlands.org\/\">Wildlands and Woodlands<\/a> vision. Its principal conservation programs include catalyzing the land protection activities through Regional Conservation Partnerships, conservation finance, ecological research, policy analysis, and land stewardship. The Conservation Internship Program is recruiting for three positions, including Conservation GIS, Conservation Communications and Events, and Conservation Policy Research to assist with this work.<\/p>\n<p><strong>All applicants should: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-tadv-p=\"keep\">Be a recent graduate of a Bachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s degree program.<\/li>\n<li data-tadv-p=\"keep\">Have a demonstrated interest in conservation science or natural resources management.<\/li>\n<li data-tadv-p=\"keep\">Demonstrate a collaborative spirit that enjoys both independent and group work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Additional qualifications: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-tadv-p=\"keep\">Excellent written and verbal communication skills.<\/li>\n<li data-tadv-p=\"keep\">\u00a0Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and adhere to deadlines.<\/li>\n<li data-tadv-p=\"keep\">\u00a0Experience conducting research.<\/li>\n<li data-tadv-p=\"keep\">\u00a0Access to a computer with a reliable network connection and a webcam.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>As part of this program, interns will benefit from the following: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-tadv-p=\"keep\">Virtual networking opportunities with conservation professionals and academics.<\/li>\n<li data-tadv-p=\"keep\">Opportunities to present work and research throughout New England to a variety of conservation professionals.<\/li>\n<li data-tadv-p=\"keep\">Time and support to develop personal portfolios.<\/li>\n<li data-tadv-p=\"keep\">Work on \u201creal world\u201d projects with landscape-scale impact.<\/li>\n<li data-tadv-p=\"keep\">Serving as an integral part of the Highstead staff.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please send the following materials to Jody Cologgi at <a href=\"mailto:jcologgi@highstead.net\">jcologgi@highstead.net<\/a> by July 17, 2021.
