This full-time position will primarily serve as the watershed coordinator for the Entiat Watershed Action Team and will provide project and program support to Cascadia CD\u2019s natural resource programs focusing on aquatic habitat, forestry and water resources. Cascadia CD is located in Chelan County, Washington with physical office space located in the city of Wenatchee. This position is primarily grant funded and relies on successful future grant applications to continue its funding. This position reports directly to Cascadia CD\u2019s Executive Director.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>About Us:\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cascadia Conservation District\u2019s mission is to encourage wise stewardship and conservation of all natural resources for current and future residents in Chelan County by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Being an active advocate for wise land use and water management decisions.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Promoting a reasonable approach to environmental problems.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Providing locally-led, voluntary, non-regulatory solutions to local environmental problems. Educating both adults and youth about natural resources stewardship.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Monitoring and responding to future trends that affect the environment.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Cascadia CD consists of a small team of dedicated staff focused on providing technical assistance, cost share and building programs that serve our community and the natural resources in Chelan County. Cascadia CD is a non-regulatory political sub-division of Washington State and is governed by a 5- member volunteer Board of Supervisors.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/dd>\n<dt>Duties<\/dt>\n<dd>\n<p>\n<strong><u>Typical Work:<\/u><\/strong><br \/>\nThe Resource Specialist II will serve as the watershed coordinator for the Entiat Watershed Action Team and the associated sub-committees. This position works with Entiat watershed stakeholders (landowners, and local\/state\/federal organizations) to encourage stakeholder engagement, tackle emerging water resource and land management issues, and update existing watershed management plans as needed. This position will work closely with these stakeholders to move forward resource management in the watershed. In addition to the watershed coordinator work, this position will manage several large scale federal and state grants, working with staff to ensure project deliverables will be met and providing assistance with outreach, technical assistance and other support as needed.<\/p>\n<\/dd>\n<dt>Qualifications<\/dt>\n<dd>\n<p>\n<strong><u>Minimum Qualifications:<\/u><\/strong><br \/>\nA qualified candidate must have:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A Bachelor\u2019s Degree involving a major in environmental or physical science, one of the natural sciences, planning or other closely related field and two years of professional level experience.
