Your responsibilities include:\u00a0 (1) planning, leading, improving and implementing a statewide forest practices and forest health monitoring and evaluation program to measure the implementation and effectiveness of the Oregon Forest Practices Act in meeting its goals and objectives; (2) coordinating forest health and forest practice monitoring activities within the department and among state and federal agencies, research scientists, forest landowners and other interests; (3) providing technical guidance and consultation on forest health and forest practice monitoring to forestry staff and field personnel, landowners and other interests; and (4) serving as a technical adviser at the federal and state level about forest health and forest practice monitoring needs and methods.
