This position is located<strong>\u00a0in our Headquarters Office in\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ci.lacey.wa.us\/\">Lacey, WA<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ci.bellevue.wa.us\/\">.<\/a><\/strong><\/div>\n<p>In this position, you&#8217;ll use your customer service skills and attention to detail to make sure that our database and paper records files have current and accurate permit information. You&#8217;ll work with Water Quality staff to create complete permit coverage files, enter new stormwater permit coverages into our fee billing system and generate invoices to permittees, compare our permit database to the billing system to make sure information is accurate, manage a high volume of permit records and fee related emails, and respond to records requests.<\/p>\n<p>The mission of the Water Quality Program is to protect and restore Washington&#8217;s waters to support healthy watersheds and communities. The agency reserves the right to make an appointment any time after the initial screening date.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<dt>Duties<\/dt>\n<dd>\n<p><strong>What you&#8217;ll do:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Process new permit coverages and manage permit-related records\n<ul type=\"circle\">\n<li>Create permit files and review hard copy permit records for accuracy and completeness.<\/li>\n<li>Add new stormwater permit coverage information into our fee billing system, generate invoices, and send them to permittees.<\/li>\n<li>Help manage, coordinate and respond to the high volume of emails received in the Fee Unit Resource Mailbox.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Ensure permit information is consistent with billing information\n<ul type=\"circle\">\n<li>Review permit fee records, research discrepancies, and make changes, as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare audit reports of discrepancies between the permit database and fee billing system, make necessary corrections, and forward complex issues to Ecology staff to resolve.<\/li>\n<li>Perform quality review check to ensure annual fee information from driver forms is input accurately in our fee billing system.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Manage the Fee Unit&#8217;s documents and records for organization and retention requirements, and respond to public records requests.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What makes this role unique?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You will work with every type of the roughly 7,000 permits the Water Quality Program issues: general permits such as Construction and Industrial Stormwater, Boatyard, Winery, and individual permits such as those issued to nuclear sites, and sites creating and using innovative technology.<\/li>\n<li>You will be an essential part of a small team and a valuable contributor to our team&#8217;s mission. This position is a good starting place to learn about water quality regulatory processes, and is a great launching place for future growth opportunities.<\/li>\n<li>The work on this team is fast and dynamic, with constant change.
