we offer accessible registration fees, are inclusive of girls with physical, intellectual or sensory disabilities, and are always working towards being culturally responsive to\u00a0all of\u00a0the communities we serve.\u00a0We host Fall, Spring, and Summer program seasons that are led entirely by volunteers that are recruited, trained, and managed by our staff.\u00a0We work with public schools, private schools, cities, and other community organizations.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"field field-name-field-job-role-responsibilities field-type-text-long field-label-above\">\n<div class=\"field-label\">Role Responsibilities:<\/div>\n<div class=\"field-items\">\n<div class=\"field-item even\">\n<p><strong>Position Summary<\/strong>:\u00a0The Girls on the Run of Puget Sound (GOTRPS) Volunteer Coordinator must possess a passion for improving the lives and opportunities for girl identifying youth in 3rd-8th\u00a0grades, as well as commitment to the mission and vision of Girls on the Run. The Volunteer Coordinator will be GOTRPS\u2019s main liaison for all volunteer groups: Coaches, Practice Partners, Event Volunteers, and One-Time Volunteers.\u00a0 The Volunteer Coordinator\u00a0is\u00a0extremely detail oriented, can manage multiple projects at once with tight deadlines, has strong customer service skills, and enjoys working with people. This role is \u201ccustomer\u201d facing and requires developed interpersonal skills such as empathy, conflict resolution, active listening, and ability to navigate sensitive situations. We are looking for a friendly and energetic\u00a0self-starter who\u00a0can take initiative to drive projects to completion, and is eager to recruit, retain, and cultivate relationships with volunteers who will share their excitement for Girls on the Run.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Position Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage\u00a0and\u00a0recruit\u00a0all\u00a0GOTRPS\u00a0volunteer groups\u00a0to meet needs of growing program.<\/li>\n<li>Develop a new mid-level commitment volunteer role to assist teams and coaches.<\/li>\n<li>Recruit volunteers for each program season\u00a0using proven recruitment strategies such as media marketing, attending outreach events,\u00a0individual meetings with volunteers,\u00a0and email communication with past volunteers.\n<ul>\n<li><em>Volunteer Recruitment Focus:<\/em>\u00a0BIPOC populations that represent the many different cultures and backgrounds of girls that our organization serves.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Maintain high quality customer service when working with volunteers\u00a0through prompt and professional email and phone correspondence.<\/li>\n<li>Create and manage all volunteer applications within Girls on the Run\u2019s internal database system,\u00a0RacePlanner.<\/li>\n<li>Develop\u00a0onboarding process for all volunteer groups including but not limited to:\n<ul>\n<li>Background check processing<\/li>\n<li>CPR certification processing<\/li>\n<li>Volunteer Trainings<\/li>\n<li>Materials Pick Up Dates<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Create and facilitate volunteer trainings\u00a0for each volunteer group.\n<ul>\n<li>Please note: Trainings are current being delivered virtually but we anticipate moving to in-person training events within the next year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Manage all materials (ordering, organizing, distributing,\u00a0curriculum return,\u00a0taking inventory, etc.) related to volunteers.<\/li>\n<li>Develop communication plan for each volunteer group\u00a0which may include newsletters, phone calls, site visits, \u201coffice hours\u201d and more.<\/li>\n<li>Work with potential one-time volunteer groups interested in volunteering their time to our organization; create meaningful projects, attend volunteer group work events, cultivate relationships to ensure repeat volunteer participation.<\/li>\n<li>Cultivate positive relationships and improve retention rates with all volunteer groups through appreciation efforts, social media recognition,\u00a0and\u00a0serving as a resource for all volunteers.<\/li>\n<li>Distribute surveys to all volunteer groups post-season, analyze results, make improvements for the next season based on feedback received<\/li>\n<li>Assist\u00a0staff\u00a0with\u00a0end-of-season 5K\u00a0planning,\u00a0communications,\u00a0distribution of materials,\u00a0and execution\u00a0of event(s)<\/li>\n<li>Attend outreach events where one-time volunteers are needed such as local charity races, work parties at corporate workplaces, and more.<\/li>\n<li>Brainstorm\u00a0and seek out\u00a0new partnerships in the community that may create a pipeline of volunteers.\u00a0Attend meetings with local program partners or potential new partners to broaden GOTRPS\u2019 presence in the community<\/li>\n<li>Participate in strategic planning concerning program success and growth<\/li>\n<li>Assist with social media<\/li>\n<li>Assist with Camp GOTR Planning\u00a0and Coach Recruitment<\/li>\n<li>Assist with annual fundraiser, Sneaker Soiree<\/li>\n<li>Assist with supervising and managing interns throughout the year<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"field field-name-field-job-qualifications field-type-text-long field-label-above\">\n<div class=\"field-label\">Candidate Qualifications:<\/div>\n<div class=\"field-items\">\n<div class=\"field-item even\">\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to work independently on multiple projects, take ownership, meet deadlines, and prioritize high need projects.<\/li>\n<li>Easily navigates technology.
