Full-time positions are eligible for our benefits marketplace (SH pays a generous monthly amount towards these benefits), 10 paid holidays and a generous paid time off plan.<\/p>\n<p>Seattle Humane is searching for a Development Director who can join us to\u00a0lead the\u00a0development team\u00a0and drive strategic fundraising decisions\u00a0that align with the Seattle\u00a0Humane\u00a0mission.<\/p>\n<p>The Development Director\u00a0at Seattle Humane\u00a0is\u00a0the key integrator\u00a0for\u00a0individual giving,\u00a0development\u00a0events, corporate support, grants, third party fundraisers, workplace giving, and other\u00a0special\u00a0initiatives.\u00a0In addition, the Development Director is an active front line fundraiser who manages a portfolio of donors and is responsible for driving\u00a0strategic decisions and actions to meet\u00a0fundraising goals.\u00a0Reporting to the Chief Advancement Officer (CAO), the Development Director leads a dynamic group of fundraisers with\u00a0an annual target of $8.5m in contributions, with\u00a0growth expectations of 8-10% each year.\u00a0The Development director collaborates closely with the Senior Major Gifts and Planned Giving Officer\u00a0and\u00a0cross-functionally with the Director of Communications and Marketing\u00a0and Chief Financial Officer.\u00a0As Seattle Humane approaches\u00a0its\u00a0125th\u00a0Anniversary in 2022, the Development Director will be leading all fundraising activations and campaigns around this exciting moment in the organization\u2019s history,\u00a0generating revenue outside of our normal annual goals.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"field field-name-field-job-role-responsibilities field-type-text-long field-label-above\">\n<div class=\"field-label\">Role Responsibilities:<\/div>\n<div class=\"field-items\">\n<div class=\"field-item even\">\n<p>KEY OR ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Demonstrates\u00a0exemplary\u00a0leadership and\u00a0proactively\u00a0manages team to\u00a0achieve success.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Develops and implements strategic plans\u00a0to achieve\u00a0growth-oriented\u00a0short-term\u00a0and long-term\u00a0fundraising goals.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Develops the division\u2019s annual revenue and expense budgets; tracks budget progress towards reaching monthly, quarterly and annual targets; and makes data-driven decisions to guide the division\u2019s activities.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Supervises the Individual Giving Director on the overall performance of the annual giving program including the multi-channel direct response program,\u00a0with a focus on growing mid-level donors and overall donor retention.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Supervises the Special Events and Corporate Relations\u00a0Director\u00a0on all fundraising and donor stewardship events, including\u00a0Tuxes &amp; Tails,\u00a0an annual Winter Luncheon, Day of Giving, and other donor stewardship events.
