Between 2003 and 2020, the Evergreen Chapter has awarded nearly $122,000 in scholarships to 87 students.<\/p>\n<h3>Scholarship Categories<\/h3>\n<div id=\"item\">\n<p id=\"E135\" class=\"x-scope qowt-word-para-0\"><strong><span id=\"E136\">General Scholarship \u2013 up to $1,500<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p id=\"E137\" class=\"x-scope qowt-word-para-1\"><span id=\"E138\">For students in any program of study<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"E139\" class=\"x-scope qowt-word-para-0\"><strong><span id=\"E140\">Environmental Scholarship \u2013 up to $2,500<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p id=\"E141\" class=\"x-scope qowt-word-para-1\"><span id=\"E142\">For students pursuing a degree in environmental science, environmental studies, engineering, or\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"E143\">an<\/span><span id=\"E144\">other major applicable to the field of solid waste or resource management<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"E145\" class=\"x-scope qowt-word-para-0\"><span id=\"E146\">Eligibility for Washington Evergreen Chapter Scholarships<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li id=\"E147\" class=\"qowt-li-0_0 qowt-list x-scope qowt-word-para-1\"><span id=\"E148\">Must be accepted for enrollment or enrolled at a community college, four-year college, university, or graduate school for the\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"E150\">period of time<\/span><span id=\"E152\">\u00a0the scholarship will be used.<\/span><\/li>\n<li id=\"E153\" class=\"qowt-li-0_0 qowt-list x-scope qowt-word-para-1\"><span id=\"E154\">Must be\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"E155\">the child or grandchild of a SWANA\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"E156\">member in good standing\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"E157\">or a student member prior to application.<\/span><span id=\"E158\">\u00a0Becoming a student member is free\u2014visit<\/span><a id=\"E161\" href=\"https:\/\/swana.org\/community\/membership\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span id=\"E162\">SWANA\u2019s membership page<\/span><\/a><span id=\"E163\">\u00a0to join.<\/span><\/li>\n<li id=\"E164\" class=\"qowt-li-0_0 qowt-list x-scope qowt-word-para-1\"><span id=\"E165\">Priority will be given to students who have not won multiple Evergreen chapter scholarships.<\/span><\/li>\n<li id=\"E166\" class=\"qowt-li-0_0 qowt-list x-scope qowt-word-para-1\"><span id=\"E167\">Students who have been awarded Evergreen chapter scholarships totaling $6,000 or more are not eligible.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"item\">\n<p><strong>Application Submission<\/strong><br \/>\nYou can\u00a0<strong>download the application form here: <a href=\"https:\/\/swananw.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/SWANA-Evergreen-Chapter-2021-scholarship-application-final-with-logo.docx\">https:\/\/swananw.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/SWANA-Evergreen-Chapter-2021-scholarship-application-final-with-logo.docx<\/a><\/strong>.
