Keeping Washington Clean and Evergreen<\/strong><\/div>\n The Water Quality Program within the Department of Ecology is looking for a Unit Supervisor for the Technical Unit in the Central Regional Office. This position is located in Union Gap, WA.<\/p>\n In this position, you will lead a dedicated team of engineers and environmental specialists as they develop and implement NPDES and State Waste Discharge Permits throughout Central Washington. You will provide training and resources to staff, and determine which permits are of highest priority to issue. Our work ensures state waters can support beneficial uses including recreational and business activities, supplies for clean drinking water, and the protection of fish, shellfish, wildlife, and public health.<\/p>\n What will you do?<\/strong><\/p>\n The Technical Unit implements state and federal wastewater discharge permit programs for municipal and industrial dischargers. This includes permit writing and management, permit related data entry, municipal wastewater grant and loan administration, and enforcement and facility inspections.
