Wildlife Resources. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Our employees serve the public with integrity, we hold ourselves accountable to both the quality of our work, and the way in which we perform it.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>With that in mind,\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Picture yourself<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0providing confidential, time-sensitive administrative support services for the Wildlife Director, Deputy Wildlife Director, and Wildlife Program Division managers.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>This is an opportunity<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0to conduct complex administrative duties to support WDFW and the Wildlife Program\u2019s goals and objectives.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>The optimal candidate\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>is a team player who<strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>takes pride in their work, uses sound judgment, and can work collaboratively.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>We are seeking a candidate<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0with demonstrated skill representing WDFW values of professionalism, accountability, empathy, integrity, and respect.<\/p>\n<p>Duties<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Our Administrative Assistant 2,\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Schedules and maintains calendars.<\/li>\n<li>Conducts trainings and directions when needed for staff.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinates personnel issues such as recruitments, selections, appointments, and promotions.<\/li>\n<li>Reviews work of professional staff to assure the input\/output is in conformance with rules, laws, and policies.<\/li>\n<li>Explains and interprets complex rules, policies, and operating procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinates and arranges travel, meetings, and conferences.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures proper paperwork is on time.<\/li>\n<li>Processes forms and documents per Office of Financial Management (OFM) and agency policies, and rules.<\/li>\n<li>Develops and prepares agendas, itineraries, correspondences, and other documents.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinates advisory council and division meetings.<\/li>\n<li>Arranges the meeting room space, refreshments, lodging, and travel for various advisory councils.<\/li>\n<li>Captures minutes at the Wolf Advisory Group (WAG) meetings.<\/li>\n<li>Prepares and distributes agendas and submits meeting and travel documentation for reimbursement.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinates weekly\/monthly reports.<\/li>\n<li>Answers phone calls and emails about the Wildlife Program activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Work Setting, including hazards:<\/strong>\n<ol>\n<li>Work is generally performed in a busy office setting with multiple distractions throughout the day.<\/li>\n<li>Most tasks involve sitting\/standing at a desk and working on a computer.<\/li>\n<li>The duty station for this position is in Olympia, Washington.
