Our work ensures state waters can support beneficial uses including recreational and business activities, supplies for clean drinking water, and the protection of fish, shellfish, wildlife, and public health.<\/p>\n What will you do?<\/strong><\/p>\n The Municipal Unit Supervisor supports the program mission and section objectives by managing project leads and staff to support program services. These statewide services include:<\/p>\n To do this, you will<\/p>\n Why join the team?<\/strong><\/p>\n The Municipal Unit in Ecology\u2019s Water Quality Program supports some of the most advanced municipal stormwater management permits and programs in the country. The planners, scientists, and engineers working in the Unit develop and support municipal stormwater permits, technical manuals, and guidance. Staff also administer an innovative regional stormwater monitoring program (Stormwater Action Monitoring<\/a>), and participate on Ecology\u2019s Stormwater Technical Team that works to apply new science to permits and guidance. The Unit\u2019s environmental engineers provide technical support and oversight to stormwater grant projects and activities across the state.<\/p>\n The team works collaboratively across the Water Quality Program and with external partners to solve traditional and emerging stormwater problems in order to protect and restore Washington\u2019s waters.<\/p>\n We embrace work-life balance and believe this is critical to our success as a program and as an agency.<\/p>\n Please note:<\/strong>\u00a0During\u00a0Stay Home, Stay Healthy<\/a>, Ecology staff are working a combination of in-office and\/or telework based on position and business need.<\/p>\n Ecology is maintaining less than maximum building occupancy, and requiring masks, health screening questions before entry, and social distancing.<\/p>\n \nThis position will remain open until filled, with an initial screening date of June 2, 2021. \u00a0In order to be considered for initial screening, please submit an application on or before June 1, 2021.
