You will immediately learn the existing Esri GIS platform and application maintenance needs, and also help with a GIS migration to a new virtual platform and ArcGIS Pro. Our training program is designed to help you develop as both a professional in your role as a GIS Programmer\/Engineer and as a Pierce County employee.\u00a0Your work will\u00a0directly impact your community and it offers a great foundation for future positions within the IT Division and Pierce County.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Possible Projects<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ol start=\"1\" type=\"1\">\n<li><strong>Regular upgrades to next version of ArcGIS Desktop<\/strong>\u2013 in 2021 that is ArcGIS Pro which is more extensive of course \u2013 other years it is not so large an effort.\n<ol start=\"1\" type=\"a\">\n<li>Develop new or rewrite custom ArcGIS Pro add-ins using C# and Pro SDK as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Maintenance and feature enhancements of existing web applications<\/strong>\u00a0like CVWeb, PublicGIS etc. on an ongoing basis<\/li>\n<li><strong>New web application development<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Play a lead role in actual execution of Enterprise GIS move to Nutanix<\/strong>(new virtual environment). Note: Considerable work has already been done to prepare for this project implementation.
