At least one year of the experience must be<\/u> at a technical or professional level performing activities in a natural resource program such as researching and analyzing data, conducting investigations, applying pertinent laws and regulations, or coordinating and monitoring project activities.<\/p>\n OR<\/b><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Bachelor’s degree in <\/b>Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Forestry Engineering, Forestry, Geology\u00a0or related natural resource field and four years of experience<\/b> in Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Forestry Engineering, Forestry, Geology,\u00a0or related natural resource field. At least one year of the experience must be<\/u> at a technical or professional level performing activities in a natural resource program such as researching and analyzing data, conducting investigations, applying pertinent laws and regulations, or coordinating and monitoring project activities.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Master’s degree<\/b> in Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Forestry Engineering, Forestry, Geology\u00a0or related natural resource field will substitute for one year of the required experience<\/u>. Doctorate degree<\/b> will substitute for two years of the required experience<\/u>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Demonstrated ability to foster a culture of service, workforce diversity, equity and inclusion, team environment, and strong internal communication and alignment.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Experience in conducting slope stability hazard and risk assessments and developing mitigation measures related to timber harvesting and road building.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Working knowledge of the program statutes, rules, guidelines, and policies.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Experience communicating program statutes, rules, guidelines, and policies objectively, clearly, and concisely in verbal and written form.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Self-reliant and resourceful in developing program procedures and communicating face-to-face with individuals and groups.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Strong ability to work independently and be a productive member of a workgroup or team.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Knowledgeable about common, western Oregon, forestry practices and equipment including skyline logging, ground-based logging and road construction<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Ability to facilitate beneficial outcomes when working with opposing perspectives or goals.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Experience resolving conflicts and negotiating solutions between people with diverse perspectives.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Ability to communicate clearly and deliver information that may be contentious.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n YOU WILL NEED<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n One of the following licenses* with the State of Oregon:\u00a0Civil Engineer with a geotechnical depth module,\u00a0Geotechnical<\/span> Engineer (GE)\u00a0OR<\/u> Certified Engineering Geologist (CEG).\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<\/li>\n To provide a copy of your registration\u00a0with<\/span> the\u00a0State of Oregon for one of the licenses listed above\u00a0as an attachment\u00a0with your application.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n We will consider candidates with a Civil Engineering with a geotechnical depth module, CEG or\u00a0GE license from other states.
