{"id":39634,"date":"2021-04-28T18:22:31","date_gmt":"2021-04-29T01:22:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.evergreen.edu\/mesweekly\/?p=39634"},"modified":"2021-04-28T18:22:32","modified_gmt":"2021-04-29T01:22:32","slug":"job-program-coordinator-pacific-northwest-economic-region-seattle-wa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.evergreen.edu\/mesweekly\/job-program-coordinator-pacific-northwest-economic-region-seattle-wa\/","title":{"rendered":"Job: Program Coordinator, Pacific NorthWest Economic Region (Seattle, WA)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<div class=\"paragraph\"><strong><span style=\"color: #2a2a2a\">CURRENT OPENING: Program Coordinator<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2a2a2a\">PNWER\u00a0is seeking a\u00a0motivated individual who is passionate about cross-border policy and planning and is excited about the prospect of making the NW a better place to live and do business.\u00a0 This is a rare opportunity for an innovative and creative individual to interact with high-level decision-makers in the bi-national region.\u00a0 As a PNWER Program Coordinator, you will learn a great deal about the unique differences between Canadian and U.S. systems of government and will play a major role in providing support to PNWER officers and secretariat.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2a2a2a\">The Program Coordinator (PC) will focus on coordinating existing working group projects and assist in the implementing of action items and new initiatives to maximize impact. The PC will frequently coordinate meetings and interact with policymakers and business leaders across the region. The PC will regularly organize virtual meetings and planning discussions on various topics. The PC will also assist in coordinating meetings\/conferences by preparing materials and invitations to support Program Managers, Co-chairs, and Executive Committee Members.<\/p>\n<p>This position involves but is not limited to:<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2a2a2a\">Assist with drafting meeting notes, workshop reports, articles, web content, letters, and briefs.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2a2a2a\">Support exercises and workshops for the PNWER Center for Regional Disaster Resilience<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2a2a2a\">Provide support on program area projects focused on disaster resilience planning, pandemic resilience, maritime resilience, energy, transportation, and economic development<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2a2a2a\">Work with state\/provincial and federal legislative staff to assist in planning annual visits<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2a2a2a\">Assist with stakeholder outreach and promotion of events and programs<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2a2a2a\">Provide assistance with social media and website posts and electronic newsletter development<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2a2a2a\">Coordinate 1-2 working group sessions at the PNWER Summit (Experience in any of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.pnwer.org\/working-groups.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">PNWER\u2019s working groups\u00a0<\/a>a plus)\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2a2a2a\"><strong><br \/>\nRequirements:<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2a2a2a\">Bachelor degree or equivalent experience required<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2a2a2a\">Minimum 1-2 years of experience in public policy, project coordination, or related field<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2a2a2a\">Exceptional writing skills (ability to provide writing samples upon request)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2a2a2a\">Excellent oral and written communications skills, confidence to work with high-level legislators and business leaders.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2a2a2a\">Must be highly organized with strong attention to detail<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2a2a2a\">Ability to provide outstanding customer service, be an enthusiastic professional, and be able to build relationships with regional partners<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2a2a2a\">Keen ability to anticipate project needs, discern priorities, and meet deadlines<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2a2a2a\">Driven team player with a good sense of humor and positive outlook<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2a2a2a\">Be seen as neutral, non-partisan, and apolitical (frequently required to facilitate discussions and work with all political parties and philosophies)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2a2a2a\">Ability to work independently and collaboratively, exert leadership, and take initiative<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2a2a2a\">Willingness to periodically take on additional tasks and duties outside of normal program area<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2a2a2a\">Proven ability to multi-task and deliver consistent results in a fast-paced office<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2a2a2a\">Proficiency in Office programs and database management, knowledge of InDesign a plus<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2a2a2a\">General understanding of website design, social media<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2a2a2a\">Some regional travel required, must be eligible to travel to Canada<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2a2a2a\"><br \/>\n\u200b\u00a0<strong>Additional desired qualifications:<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2a2a2a\">Knowledge or experience with any of the following: Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Constant Contact, Weebly, CVent, Clicktime, In-Design, Photoshop, Publisher, Zoom, Go-to Webinar<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2a2a2a\"><br \/>\n<strong>How to Apply:<\/strong>\u00a0Please email resume and cover letter to\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:employment@pnwer.org\">employment@pnwer.org<\/a>.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Terms<\/strong>: Full-time, 40 hours per week with benefits including 401k retirement match, health and dental insurance, generous vacation, and holiday time off.
