Our organization has met many successes including several grant funded projects and the installation of the Hummingbird Community Solar Project! The key role of the Outreach Director is to manage social media accounts, uphold relationships with organizational partners and stakeholders, and provide graphics and design work that aligns with current projects and events.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c8\"><span class=\"c0\">Duties and Responsibilities:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"c4 lst-kix_wbfruxmqa6gl-0 start\">\n<li class=\"c9 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c3\">Lead\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"c1\">Outreach materials development and efforts.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"c9 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c1\">Host and coordinate OCS engagement at the Olympia Farmers Market 2-3 day a week.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"c9 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c1\">Collaborate with non-profit organizations and businesses to develop partnerships and effective fundraising strategies.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"c9 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c1\">Create materials (i.e. fact sheets and social media posts) for community outreach, education, and stakeholder engagement.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"c9 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c1\">Manage and monitor the OCS Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"c9 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c1\">Craft, organize and give PowerPoint and Google Slide presentations to various audiences.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"c9 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c3\">Coordinate and plan education,\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"c3\">fundraising,<\/span><span class=\"c1\">\u00a0and networking events.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"c9 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c1\">Lead OCS fundraising efforts, including annual participation in the Give Local Campaign and grant writing.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"c9 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c1\">Coordinate w\/ contracted media professionals, graphic designers.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"c9 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c1\">Collaborate with the OCS team and regional leaders for the advancement of climate adaptation and mitigation goals.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"c9 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c1\">Work with OCS team to ensure progress throughout all phases of solar project development.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"c9 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c3\">Maintain working relationship with OCS Board of Directors and staff.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"c8\"><span class=\"c0\">Required Qualifications:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"c4 lst-kix_msdnv0bjoy9t-0 start\">\n<li class=\"c9 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c3 c10\">An understanding of<\/span><span class=\"c10 c3 c13\">\u00a0solar projects the Pacific Northwest<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"c2 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c1 c7\">Have a college-level or Masters-level Degree in communications or environmental studies or similar field.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"c2 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c1 c7\">Have a minimum of two years of experience with community organizing<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"c2 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c1 c7\">Demonstrate the ability to motivate and engage our professional stakeholders &amp; community members<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"c2 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c1 c7\">Be able to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal communication<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"c2 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c1 c7\">Work well independently and with a team, including within key partners<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"c2 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c1 c7\">Be highly organized and comfortable with a fast-paced environment \u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"c2 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c1 c7\">Demonstrate experience with social media and digital organizing.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"c2 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c1 c7\">Provide your own computer and internet for remote working.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span class=\"c3 c5\">Desired Qualifications:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"c4 lst-kix_5okncs9nul0r-0 start\">\n<li class=\"c2 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c7 c3\">Grant writing\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"c1 c7\">experience<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"c2 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c1 c7\">Management experience<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"c2 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c1 c7\">Working with \u00a0G-Suite, Canva, Asana, Clockify, etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"c2 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c7 c3\">Rooted in the Thurston County community.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span class=\"c0\">Application Instructions:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span class=\"c3\">Send a r\u00e9sum\u00e9, cover letter, and two references as a single PDF document to <a href=\"mailto:info@olysol.org\">info@olysol.org<\/a> with the subject line \u201cOutreach Contractor\u201d to apply.\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"c5 c3\">Deadline 5:00 PM April 23rd, 2021.<\/span><span class=\"c1\">\u00a0No phone calls please.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span class=\"c1\">Consider including examples of your outreach \/ graphic design work.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span class=\"c3\">Olympia Community Solar is committed to justice, diversity, equity and inclusion.
