This position supports the county&#8217;s interest in ensuring a quality customer experience in the operation and delivery of ferry services.<\/p>\n<p>Marine Deckhand is a great opportunity for those who are looking to earn money while working outdoors and enjoying beautiful views of the city skyline and the Olympic mountains. In this on-call position, you will have flexible hours allowing you to maximize your work schedule based on available hours.<\/p>\n<p>Join us if you are a student, sales or retail associate, customer service associate, contract worker, part- time driver, waiter, waitress, intern or currently work any other part-time job and are looking for a fun flexible opportunity to supplement your weekly income. Holiday workers, looking for part-time gigs during the summer, winter, fall, or spring are also welcome. Previous deckhand experience is a bonus.\u00a0<strong>Sign\u00a0up\u00a0now!<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nCurrently, the Division is seeking to establish an immediate pool of on-call temporary (not benefits eligible) Marine Deckhands to supplement the current workforce and help staff shifts as needed.<\/p>\n<p>These\u00a0safety\u00a0sensitive\u00a0positions\u00a0are\u00a0represented\u00a0by\u00a0the\u00a0Inland\u00a0boatmen&#8217;s\u00a0Union\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0Pacific;\u00a0wages\u00a0and\u00a0conditions\u00a0are\u00a0established\u00a0by\u00a0a\u00a0collective\u00a0bargaining\u00a0labor\u00a0agreement.<\/p>\n<\/dd>\n<dt>Job Duties<\/dt>\n<dd>\n<p>Applying equity and social justice principles is a daily responsibility and a foundational expectation\u00a0for all King County employees. In this role you will apply equity and social justice principles that\u00a0exemplify shared values, behaviors, and practices to all aspects of the work.
