{"id":39131,"date":"2021-04-14T12:00:23","date_gmt":"2021-04-14T19:00:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.evergreen.edu\/mesweekly\/?p=39131"},"modified":"2021-04-14T12:00:26","modified_gmt":"2021-04-14T19:00:26","slug":"call-for-project-ideas-sustainable-development-research-the-european-school-of-sustainability-and-research","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.evergreen.edu\/mesweekly\/call-for-project-ideas-sustainable-development-research-the-european-school-of-sustainability-and-research\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for Project Ideas: Sustainable Development Research, The European School of Sustainability and Research"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<div>Call for project ideas on sustainable development research<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The European School of Sustainabibility Science and Research<\/div>\n<div><a title=\"https:\/\/esssr.eu\/\" href=\"https:\/\/esssr.eu\/\">https:\/\/esssr.eu\/<\/a><\/div>\n<div>is inviting expressions of interest from researchers from any country,<\/div>\n<div>to submit ideas on research projects on all aspects<\/div>\n<div>related to sustainable development.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>These ideas will be assessed by the ESSSR Team, and those deemed<\/div>\n<div>as appropriate may be submitted to an ERC Advanced Grant.<\/div>\n<div>These fund projects lasting for up to 5 years, with an average<\/div>\n<div>budget of Euro 1 million. The project funds cover salaries,<\/div>\n<div>travel and accommodation, materials, open access fees<\/div>\n<div>and other research-related costs.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Grant recipients will be able to undertaken their research at<\/div>\n<div>ESSSR\u00b4s office, and they may either live in Hamburg, or continue to live<\/div>\n<div>in their home countries with regular travel to Germany. The<\/div>\n<div>details can be discussed on an individual basis.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The candidates need to be PhD holders, and are expected to be active<\/div>\n<div>researchers who have a solid track-record of significant research achievements in the<\/div>\n<div>last 10 years. The project proposals need to be exceptional, i.e. being beyond well-known<\/div>\n<div>issues, and geared towards innovation which can foster the cause of sustainable development.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Interested colleagues, holding a PhD and who have a track record of publications on sustainable<\/div>\n<div>developments and have solid work experience, \u00a0are welcome to submit an expression<\/div>\n<div>of interest to the ESSSR Team.This should consist of:<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>1. a cover letter introducing the candidate with the full (complete) contact details<\/div>\n<div>2. a Curriculum Vitae with a photo, date of birth, academic training and list of publications<\/div>\n<div>3. a one page outline of the proposed research, with the a) title of the study, b)background<\/div>\n<div>information, c) objectives of the research, d) methods to be used and e) expected results. We recommend a \u00a0maximum duration of 4 years.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The ESSSR team will provide a feed-back on the submitted proposals, and discuss further details with<\/div>\n<div>the selected candidates. The deadline for submissions is 30th April 2021.
