Duration will be permanent, with the possibility of up to 60-day seasonal lay-off.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Agency\/Location:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs Reservation \u2013 Prairie City, Oregon &#8211; Forrest Conservation Area Field Office<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Responsibilities<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work under Field Crew Leader to implement projects on the Forrest, Oxbow and Dunstan Conservation Areas in addition to work through the John Day Basin Office.<\/li>\n<li>Work is on Tribal, public, and private lands.\u00a0 Work to include, but not limited to:\n<ul>\n<li>Riparian and upland fisheries enhancement projects including riparian planting.<\/li>\n<li>Maintenance of grazing program infrastructure, irrigation systems, and stock water.<\/li>\n<li>Upland habitat enhancement including juniper felling, hand piling and burning.<\/li>\n<li>Control of noxious weeds with herbicides using backpack, ATV, and tractor sprayers<\/li>\n<li>Fence building (barbed, smooth wire, and buck and pole)<\/li>\n<li>Light carpentry<\/li>\n<li>Small equipment maintenance (chainsaw, string cutter, pumps, skid steer, ATVs etc)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Work is from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM (winter) and 6:00AM \u2013 4:00PM (4 days a week in summer).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications and Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Punctuality and a clean driving record with valid driver\u2019s license are required. Drug testing to be performed if selected for the position.<\/li>\n<li>At least 2 years of experience in field operations listed above.<\/li>\n<li>Some experience or education in the biological sciences desired.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of various fence building techniques, ATV\/Skid Steer\/Backhoe operation, and chainsaw work desired.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work outside for long periods of time. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs., walk over long distances over rough terrain, and work under inclement weather.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Salary &amp; Benifits:<\/strong>\u00a0 $14.00 &#8211; $16.00\/hr starting salary.
