Work to be conducted primarily on the Coquille, Coos, Millicoma Rivers.<\/p>\n Job Description:<\/u><\/b> What you will do:<\/b> The employee in this position will assist in field studies with the Aquatic Inventories Project and the Oregon Adult Salmonid Inventory and Sampling project collecting data on aquatic habitat and adult salmonids.\u00a0 Principle duties will include conducting spawning ground surveys for naturally spawning salmon, steelhead, and lamprey, conducting instream\/riparian habitat surveys, and conducting snorkel surveys on select coastal streams.\u00a0 Additional duties will include contacting and requesting permission from private landowners, hiking into and along streams, maintaining quality control of data, and coordinating with ODFW district staff.<\/p>\n This position requires a flexible work schedule that varies in the number of hours worked on a daily basis, but not necessarily each day, or a work schedule in which the starting and stopping times vary on a daily basis, but not necessarily each day including most weekends and some night work. \u00a0This position may be physically demanding.<\/p>\n The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
