Photo Credit: Austin Kohout)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Our Administrative Assistant 5,\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assists the Regional Director, provides administrative support and fosters a cohesive team environment.<\/li>\n<li>Works with confidential documents and time-sensitive calendars.<\/li>\n<li>Schedules, maintains calendars, coordinates\/arranges travel, meetings, and conferences.<\/li>\n<li>Develops biennial budget spending plans, monitors expenditures against allotments and responds to inquiries on the Region 5 budget.<\/li>\n<li>Assists the Regional Director in the implementation and logistics of key agency initiatives and provides support for agency legislative initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Assists the Regional Director in identifying local needs\/issues to be included in the development of new initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Administers and manages the operational and financial functions of the Region 5 office \u2013 including developing, tracking, and managing the biennial budgets.<\/li>\n<li>Leads, directs, and supervises the Customer Service program while providing regional office function and support to all Region 5 staff.<\/li>\n<li>Is the liaison with the Director\u2019s Office and investigates and appropriately responds to complaints.<\/li>\n<li>Provides information to customers, other agencies, tribes, and the public regarding agency and regional policies, management programs and key initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures the optimum use of resources while effectively directing and managing the Region 5 office.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Work Setting, including hazards:<\/strong>\n<ol>\n<li>Work is generally performed in an office setting at the Region 5 Office in Ridgefield, Washington.<\/li>\n<li>Teleworking options may currently be available.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Schedule:<\/strong>\n<ol>\n<li>Typically, Monday \u2013 Friday &#8211; 8:00 a.m. \u2013 5:00 p.m.<\/li>\n<li>Must be available to be on call 24\/7 in case of emergencies.<\/li>\n<li>This position may be required to work occasional weekends and evenings to meet workload demands.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Travel Requirements:<\/strong>\n<ol>\n<li>Occasional travel for meetings, trainings, and visits to District Offices and\/or other field locations.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tools and Equipment:<\/strong>\n<ol>\n<li>Computer hardware\/software, multi-line phones, video conference equipment, and general office equipment.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Customer Interactions:<\/strong>\n<ol>\n<li>Customer service is an integral part to agency success.<\/li>\n<li>Routinely works the front counter, responds to phone calls from the public, and interacts with customers.<\/li>\n<li>Supervises, assists, and mentors customer service personnel to ensure consistent, high quality service.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/dd>\n<dt>Qualifications<\/dt>\n<dd>\n<p><strong>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>One (1) year of experience as an Administrative Assistant 4.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>OR\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Two (2) years of experience as an Administrative Assistant 3.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>OR\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience as an office or business manager in the public or private sector.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>AND<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Voluntary, personal, academic, or quantifiable leadership experience.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated experience in providing services, conflict resolutions and negotiations.<\/li>\n<li>Familiar with fiscal documents &#8211;
