The headquarters office is located in Tumwater, and region offices are located in Burlington, East Wenatchee and Tumwater.<\/em><\/p>\n<div>\u00a0<em>___________________________<\/em><\/div>\n<div>This recruitment is for one full-time, year-round, permanent,\u00a0<strong>Senior Park Aide\u00a0<\/strong>position, located at Millersylvania State Park, in Thurston\u00a0County, Washington.<\/p>\n<p>For more information on Washington State Parks, click\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.parks.wa.gov\/\">here<\/a>.<\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<dt>Duties<\/dt>\n<dd>\n<p>This position reports to the Park Ranger 3 and supports the day to day operations of the Millersylvania Area. \u00a0The Senior Park Aide serves as the lead for seasonal staff, handles daily operations of the retreat center and vacation cottage, and supports the area by performing excellent customer service and grounds and building maintenance throughout the Millersylvania Area.<\/p>\n<p>Primary duties include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead Park Aides.<\/li>\n<li>Inspect and clean comfort stations and other facilities on a routine basis.<\/li>\n<li>Track inventory and restock supplies including paper products, cleaning chemicals and tools.<\/li>\n<li>Collect garbage, pick up litter, and clean campsites and picnic areas.<\/li>\n<li>Operate riding and push mowers, weed trimmers, blowers and other power and hand tools.<\/li>\n<li>Register campers and train other staff on the CAMIS system.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee check-in and check-outs at the Retreat Center and Lakeside Cottage and ensure the facilities are cleaned and ready for use throughout the year.<\/li>\n<li>Provide information to the public regarding park rules and regulations, local events, activities, walks and talks, and historic information.<\/li>\n<li>Complete monthly equipment and safety logs, reconcile funds collected, timesheets, and other administrative tasks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/dd>\n<dt>Qualifications<\/dt>\n<dd>\n<p><strong>REQUIRED:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Twelve (12) months of experience in building maintenance or grounds keeping, or performing semi-skilled\/general carpentry, electrical and\/or plumbing repair work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>OR<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Six (6) months cumulative experience as a Park Aide (or equivalent), or twelve (12) months experience in a special employment program (Washington Conservation\u00a0Corps) with a parks agency.
