The incumbent&#8217;s primary duties of the AIS Prevention Program are early detection zebra\/quagga mussel monitoring, review, and record data they collect. Key measurable objectives are number of sites and samples conducted for early detection zebra\/quagga mussel monitoring, all equipment in proper working condition, and all data entered.<\/p>\n<p><strong>KEY DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Zebra and Quagga Mussel Early Detection Monitoring<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Tasks include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Survey high risk water bodies using multiple sampling methods such as horizontal and vertical water plankton tows, artificial substrates, visual shoreline surveys, water quality.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Office work\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Tasks include:\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nData entry into databases<br \/>\nOrganize, file, and summarize field data.<br \/>\n<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Equipment Maintenance\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Tasks include:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintains vehicle, watercraft, trailer, electronic tablet, laptop, smart phone, laptop, smart phone, and complex mobile water quality laboratory in a safe and working order.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Other duties as assigned<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>WORKING CONDITIONS:\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Work setting including hazards:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Approximately 80% of the job is done in the field and 20% in the office.<\/li>\n<li>Outdoors on water and land in inclement weather, mostly as a team, but may work independently in remote locations, day and night, walk up to five miles on uneven ground, must be able to lift 75 pounds, and pack 50 pounds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Schedule:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sunday to Saturday first 40.
