This position will perform professional, administrative, and operational duties. They will also assist with community development and outreach activities by participating in ongoing working groups, special project teams, and collaborative efforts with other employees.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Equity and Inclusion<\/u><\/strong><strong><u>:<\/u><\/strong><\/div>\n<div>The Equity and Inclusion Project Coordinator will provide key support for coordinated equity initiatives for the Equity &amp; Inclusion team. This includes project management, planning, tracking, reporting on various initiatives, and completing special research projects related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Strong writing skills and overall excellent oral and written communication skills marked by professionalism and discretion are essential for this position. This role will require the ability to plan and organize and coordinated equity strategies across a large organization. The ideal candidate should have exceptional organizational skills, the capability to connect with employees at all levels, and a proven track record of implementing racial equity and inclusion best practices.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<p><u>Fleet Coordination:<\/u><\/p>\n<p>The Fleet Coordinator manages the vehicle and equipment program for Portland Parks &amp; Recreation. This includes working with supervisors to determine vehicle specifications which inform vehicle and equipment\u00a0purchase. \u00a0This position creates and manages the fleet database for both purchased vehicles\/equipment and rentals which includes inventory as well as preventive maintenance and repairs.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><u>Property Acquisition, Disposition and Management<\/u><u>:<\/u><\/p>\n<p>The Property Coordinator takes a lead role in management, acquisition, and disposition of real property for Parks. With a high degree of autonomy, this position creates, manages, and reports out on projects, programs, and budgets related to core team activities and covers the responsibilities of the Property &amp; Business Development Manager as needed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<p><u>Safety and Security \u2013 Emergency Management:<\/u><\/p>\n<p>The Emergency Management Coordinator makes recommendations, develops, and implements policies and procedures for the emergency management program. The coordinator develops and manages the COOP Plan (Continuity of Operations Plan), disaster planning, the Emergency Management plan and policies and committee efforts related to that work; confers with safety and emergency manager on public safety and emergency policies for parks bureau; meets and confers with other bureau personnel, Portland Bureau of Emergency Management (PBEM), law enforcement agencies, community groups and citizens to obtain input on park and recreation facilities&#8217; public safety and emergency management issues and to explain bureau policies, procedures, guidelines and programs.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><u>Workforce Development:<\/u><\/p>\n<p>The Workforce Development Coordinator\u00a0functions\u00a0as a project manager\u00a0moving\u00a0workforce\u00a0initiatives forward from conception to implementation. \u00a0The\u00a0immediate\u00a0projects include supporting the work of our levy staffing efforts, working with our training coordinator on the development of career tracks and\u00a0assisting\u00a0with the implementation of the bureau\u2019s onboarding program which is scheduled to launch in 2021.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>As a\u00a0Coordinator\u00a0you will:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Perform\u00a0professional,\u00a0administrative,\u00a0and operational duties.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Creates,\u00a0manages,\u00a0and reports on projects,\u00a0programs,\u00a0and budget.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Make recommendations,\u00a0develops,\u00a0and implement policies and procedures.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Meet\u00a0with other bureaus, community organizations\u00a0and divisions.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Project management.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Community development and outreach activities<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong><u>About the Bureau:<\/u><\/strong><br \/>\nPortland Parks &amp; Recreation (PP&amp;R) is committed to the overall Citywide vision that race will have no detrimental effect on people of color, refugee and immigrant communities in accessing our parks and natural areas, or from the benefit of our services.
