JOB SUMMARY<\/strong> Friends of Tryon Creek seeks an exceptional individual to lead its fundraising efforts to achieve its environmental conservation mission. The Development Director provides leadership and support to the Executive Director and the Board of Directors with fund development efforts including, but not limited to, soliciting major gifts, membership, corporate sponsorship, and planned giving programs as well as fundraising events. $850,000 budget<\/p>\n PRINCIPAL DUTIES<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Develop and manage a successful annual fundraising plan to meet budget goals.<\/p>\n \u2022 Lead the Fund Development committee of staff and board members to implement a strategic fundraising plan.<\/p>\n \u2022 Manage and grow individual membership program.<\/p>\n \u2022 Manage successful major donor program.<\/p>\n \u2022 Collaborate with finance department to ensure accuracy in donor management systems.<\/p>\n \u2022 Support Executive Director with the development of fundraising events and grant writing.<\/p>\n \u2022 Manage and evaluate planned giving program.<\/p>\n JOB QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 4+ year experience in individual and community philanthropy.<\/p>\n \u2022 Ability to develop and evaluate organizational development plan.<\/p>\n \u2022 Relational skill set to form and maintain donor relationships.<\/p>\n \u2022 Ability to inspire others one-on-one, in group settings and in writing<\/p>\n \u2022 Demonstrated verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills grounded in a relational style.<\/p>\n \u2022 Attention to administrative detail, ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and achieve goals.<\/p>\n \u2022 Ability to communicate across cultural boundaries, and as part of a collaborative team.<\/p>\n \u2022 Experience working with nonprofit financial management systems.<\/p>\n ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND<\/strong> Friends of Tryon Creek is in its 51st year as a nonprofit organization, located in Tryon Creek State Natural Area, a 670-acre green space in southwest Portland.
