2021 Equity Symposium Wade in the Water Registration<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\nThis years symposium\u00a0draws its inspiration from\u00a0the\u00a0situatedness of Evergreen\u00a0on\u00a0the Salish Sea.\u00a0Our waters embrace the\u00a0currents\u00a0of change,\u00a0while reminding us of the interconnectivity of our ecosystems, our Indigenous and\u00a0local\u00a0communities.\u00a0Just as water carries a seed downstream\u00a0along\u00a0a\u00a0rough and tumble\u00a0journey to new shores,\u00a0it provides\u00a0nourishment\u00a0for the seed to take root, blossom, and realize its transformative and lifegiving potential. This is how we envision equity work at Evergreen.<\/p>\n
We invite proposals for presentations, activities, interventions, trainings, artistic expression, and more, that consider the following:
\n1)\u00a0how do we honor and reconcile our complicated encounters and wounds\u00a0of\u00a0the past?
\n2) how do we hold space\u00a0for vulnerability and community building in turbulent moments of the present?
\n3) how do we\u00a0advance\u00a0transformative\u00a0action into a more equitable\u00a0collective future?<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
