There are 3 regions (Northwest, Western, and Eastern); this position is in Eastern Region. The Regions provide the following services: compliance inspection of regulated entities; enforcement of permit requirements and administrative rules; issuance of air, water, and solid waste permits; investigation of complaints; issuance of subsurface permits in counties; response to spills or other incidents with environmental impacts; direct contact and liaison with other governmental entities, industries, and the public; and technical assistance to regulated entities and the public. Click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oregon.gov\/deq\/Pages\/Offices.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a> to view a map of all of the DEQ offices.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\"><span class=\"emphasis-3\"><b>What you will do!<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">As the Project Officer for the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF), you will promote the availability of funds and benefits of the CWSRF; assist eligible borrowers with applying for a DEQ CWSRF loan for eligible projects; provide project management to the borrowers going through the process from application to loan closing; authorize the distribution of program funding; and maintain records related to the loan. You will monitor local governments receiving funding by conducting inspections at the borrower\u2019s project site and reviewing reports and distribution requests. This position requires occasional travel on State business for inspections, technical visits, meetings, trainings, conferences, and public hearings, some of which may include evening work and\/or overnight stays. A valid driver\u2019s license is required for this position.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">Inspections are usually outdoors at construction sites with the potential for exposure to pollutants, chemicals, contaminated soil, water, fumes, and airborne contaminants.
