Thank you for considering joining us.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Principal Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Maintain and build relationships with donors, partners, and the community.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Lead fundraising campaigns and events.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Manage the donor database and reporting.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Research and manage grants.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Manage marketing and communications for the organization.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Oversee marketing consultant.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Co-manage the organizational budget.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Oversee contract accountant.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Drive the organization to continually reexamine practices to center ourselves around justice, equity, diversity and inclusion.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Participate in developing the long-term vision of the organization.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Experience fundraising for nonprofits.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Experience with donor cultivation and stewardship.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Ability to effectively research and manage grants.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Experience managing communications and content strategy.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Excellent communication skills and ability to think creatively.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Experience working with budgets (we hope you love numbers).<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Development &amp; Communications Director Job Description\u20142021<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Commitment to and consideration of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion in all organizational decisions and development.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Welcoming of people from different backgrounds with a willingness to listen and to learn.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Access to personal workspace, computer, and internet connection.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Desired Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Strong sense of personal relationship with the natural world.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Ability to operate at multiple operational levels\u2014both big picture and details.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Strong writing and public speaking skills.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Creative, collaborative, and self-directed mindset.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Experience with major gifts and corporate sponsorship.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Grant writing experience, esp. for outdoor\/environmental education.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Graphic design, content creation, branding experience \/ interest.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Familiarity with GSuite, LGL, WordPress, Mailchimp, Google Ads, social media.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Willingness to meet weekly or as-needed, both remote and in-person in North Kitsap County (when safe to do so. Meetings are currently remote or outside and physically distanced due to Covid-19).<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Compensation:<\/strong> $20\/hr. This is a part-time (~20 hrs\/week) exempt position to start, with a flexible, self-directed schedule.
