Permanent<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"term-block term-block-right\">\n<div class=\"span4\">\n<div class=\"term-description\">Department<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"span8\">\n<div class=\"term-value department-name\">Mason Conservation District<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row-fluid summary-section\">\n<div class=\"term-block term-block-left\">\n<div class=\"span4\">\n<div class=\"term-description\">Job Number<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"span8\">\n<div class=\"term-value\">2021-MCD FCM<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row-fluid summary-section\">Apply Here:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.governmentjobs.com\/careers\/washington\/jobs\/2880943\/field-crew-member\">https:\/\/www.governmentjobs.com\/careers\/washington\/jobs\/2880943\/field-crew-member<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"clearfix\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"row-fluid summary-section\">\n<div class=\"span2\">\n<div class=\"term-description\">Closing<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"span4\">\n<div class=\" closing-info term-value\">Continuous<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The Mason Conservation District is seeking a Field Crew Member to join our team.<\/p>\n<p>The Field Crew Member position supports the District\u2019s mission by performing various duties to implement and maintain habitat restoration projects<\/p>\n<p>The successful candidate will demonstrate the proven ability to work efficiently and effectively on a team to implement restoration activities including planting, maintenance of planting sites using power tools, and treatment of invasive plants with the use of herbicides.<\/p>\n<p>This position is supervised by the Field Crew Lead.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: \u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Core duties and responsibilities include the following.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work directly under the Field Crew Supervisor to complete various tasks including planting maintenance, planting, and invasive plant treatment with herbicides.<\/li>\n<li>Safely utilize tools such as brush cutters, machetes, and shovels to maintain planting sites.<\/li>\n<li>Plant both bare root and potted-stock plants.<\/li>\n<li>Occasional operation of non-motorized watercraft used to access select work sites.<\/li>\n<li>Under the direct supervision of the Field Crew Supervisor, safely apply herbicides to various invasive weeds using backpack sprayers.<\/li>\n<li>Practice proper tool maintenance.<\/li>\n<li>Other duties may be assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Required Qualifications:<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be able to safely and effectively work as a productive team member.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under physically demanding conditions, including weather and terrain.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to walk, lift 50 pounds, and operate hand and power tools and other mechanical equipment for extended periods of time.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to pass pre-employment background check, and drug test.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Desired Qualifications:<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge and background in habitat restoration practices including planting, planting site maintenance, and invasive weed control.<\/li>\n<li>Experience treating invasive weeds such as Knotweed with herbicides.<\/li>\n<li>Experience planting bare root and potted plant stock.<\/li>\n<li>Experience using power equipment such as brush cutters.<\/li>\n<li>Possess a valid Public Operator License through WSDA.<\/li>\n<li>Experience operating an ORV.<\/li>\n<li>Valid driver\u2019s license, acceptable driving record.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of local area of Mason County.<\/li>\n<li>Interest in community service and the environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Benefits:\u00a0<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Industry Competitive Compensation<\/li>\n<li>Health, Dental, Vision, Disability Plans<\/li>\n<li>Employer Retirement Plan<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>TO APPLY:<\/p>\n<p>Email a Cover Letter and Resume to\u00a0<u>accounting@masoncd.org<\/u>.
