The District Manager position is very complex and requires a diverse set of skills, a passion for conservation, and the ability to lead a staff of professionals.<\/p>\n<p>The District Manager position is a full-time, at-will position. This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act. The District Manager is responsible for the overall management of the organization with direction from the Board of Supervisors.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Duties and Responsibilities <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lead personnel to accomplish the District\u2019s mission, goals, and objectives<\/p>\n<p>The District Manager has supervisory authority over all employees of the District, but may delegate supervision of program staff to the District Management Team.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Provide motivational leadership to a strong team of dedicated professionals to fulfill the mission and vision of the District.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Facilitate a non-discriminatory, positive, productive, and safe working environment.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Apply and enforce District personnel policies.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Establish, review, and update job descriptions and performance standards.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Provide performance feedback to employees on an informal basis and through formal annual evaluations, consistent with annual work plan goals and objectives.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Identify training needs and support employee\u2019s professional growth.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Address and resolve staff conflicts, concerns, and issues, as needed, to ensure a productive workplace.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Create agendas and efficiently lead monthly staff and management team meetings.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Coordination with the Board of Supervisors <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The District Manager assists the Board of Supervisors in the development of the District\u2019s mission, goals, and objectives.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Provide support, information, and recommendations to the Board of Supervisors.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Assists in the orientation and training of new Supervisors and Associate Supervisors.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Develop monthly Board meeting agendas in coordination with the Chair of the Board of Supervisors<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Assist Board committees in accomplishing goals and tasks.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Coordinate with the Board of Supervisors and staff to develop District Annual and Long Range Plans of Work to meet objectives of the strategic plan following protocols from the Washington State Conservation Commission.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Work with the Board of Supervisors to solicit and receive input from agencies, the public, staff, elected officials, and other stakeholders to inform Board decisions.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Perform the critical role of ensuring a two-way relationship between staff and Board.<\/p>\n<p>\uf0b7 Attend to other duties as assigned by the Board of Supervisors.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Details <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Compensation: Compensation package is dependent on qualifications and experience.<\/p>\n<p>Application period: Open until filled.
