Our primary focus is on state and local responsibilities for administering Washington state and federally-delegated laws. Our mission is to work in partnership with communities to support healthy watersheds and promote statewide environmental interests.<\/p>\n<p>Ecology\u2019s Washington Conservation Corps (WCC) improves our environment while providing career enhancement opportunities for a diverse group of young adults and U.S. military veterans. As an AmeriCorps program, we create future leaders through community involvement and mentorship. WCC has over 350 members and experienced staff statewide who restore habitat, build trails and respond to local and national disasters.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the key work activities of the\u00a0<strong>WCC Office Assistant<\/strong>\u00a0position<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Typing various correspondence and memos. Maintaining paperwork and records.<\/li>\n<li>Assists in scheduling, coordination and the logistics of meetings.<\/li>\n<li>Assists administrative staff, crew supervisors, and corps members with various requests and is a member of the SEA Program\u2019s administrative reception team.<\/li>\n<li>Sorts and distributes incoming mail.<\/li>\n<li>Prepares or assists in the preparation, compilation, and coordination of reports such as financial payroll, equipment usage, purchasing, inventory, personnel, scheduling, registration, and testing.<\/li>\n<li>Performs time accounting entry for assigned crews.<\/li>\n<li>Is responsible for collecting, inputting, updating, and generating reports on various production and personnel databases to ensure accurate reporting.<\/li>\n<li>This position requires occasional travel to and from meetings outside of the Ecology Lacey Building<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nThis positions provides you with an opportunity to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Further develop your administrative skills in a fast paced, quickly evolving program.<\/li>\n<li>Interact with many different levels of staff.<\/li>\n<li>Learn new skills and provides you opportunities to volunteer and participate on internal committees.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Please Note: This is a project position that is funded until September 30, 2022.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Please note:<\/strong>\u00a0During Stay Home, Stay Healthy, staff are working a combination of in-office and\/or telework based on position and business need.
