Our Operating Principles are: Accountability, Commitment, Empathy, Empowerment, Fun, Integrity, Respect, & Well-being.<\/i><\/p>\n What you will do:<\/b><\/p>\n As a Seasonal Park Ranger Assistant, you will perform basic tasks in a single area of park operations such as janitorial work, landscape maintenance, interpretation or visitor services, although some positions will require performing tasks in a variety of areas.<\/p>\n Minimum Qualifications:<\/b><\/p>\n (a) Six (6) months of experience (paid or unpaid) performing public contact or customer service duties (e.g. Teacher, Customer Service Representative, Salesperson, Receptionist, etc.) and\/or maintenance experience (construction trades, landscaping, custodial, etc.).<\/p>\n OR<\/b><\/p>\n (b) Six (6) months of college in any discipline (24 quarter hours\/16 semester hours).<\/p>\n What we are looking for (Desired Attributes): <\/b><\/p>\n Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Ability to use a computer to record and verify information.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Desire to work on a team to accomplish goals and tasks.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Experience explaining rules to customers and asking for their compliance.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Experience in custodial duties including cleaning public restroom facilities.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Experience using tools and equipment associated with landscape and building maintenance.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Experience in promoting a culturally competent and diverse work environment.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n What’s in it for you:<\/b><\/p>\n This is a fantastic opportunity to support millions of visitors connecting with the best state park system in America.
