And she continued to do so through countless major- and social-media follow-ups since then.<\/p>\n<p>But what if Gorman, 22, the nation\u2019s youth poet laureate, could bring her poetic, presentation skills, and grace to the issue of climate change?<\/p>\n<p>In fact, she\u2019s done just that. In December 2018, Gorman presented her original \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=xwOvBv8RLmo\" target=\"_window\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Earthrise<\/a>\u201d four-minute poem as part of a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.climaterealityproject.org\/\" target=\"_window\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Climate Reality Project<\/a>\u00a0\u201c24 hours of reality\u201d campaign. Her reading of that poem has attracted more than 215,000 YouTube views as of January 26.<\/p>\n<p>No effort here to paraphrase or quote from it: That would be like the proverbial narrative describing a photo of a painting of a unique landscape.
