The headquarters office is located in Tumwater, and region offices are located in Burlington, East Wenatchee and Tumwater.<\/em><\/div>\n<div><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>___________________________<\/em><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>This announcement is for one full-time, permanent,\u00a0<strong>Contracts Assistant\u00a0<\/strong>position at Park headquarters located in Tumwater, Washington.<\/div>\n<div>\nIf you have any questions regarding this recruitment, please contact the manager listed in the &#8220;Supplemental Information&#8221; section of this publication.<\/p>\n<p>For more information on Washington State Parks please visit click\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.parks.wa.gov\/\">here!<\/a><\/div>\n<\/dd>\n<dt>Duties<\/dt>\n<dd>\n<p>This position has responsibility for assisting Contracts Specialists which perform a variety of procurement functions in support of agency-wide operations. \u00a0This position will assist in acquiring vital services, products, and equipment. \u00a0The Contracts Assistant will also support other financial functions and provide backup to warehouse and mailroom work.<\/p>\n<p>\nDuties include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist with the review of contract proposals and documents for conformance with law, develop bid invitations, check and develop contract status reports, review billings for contracted goods or services, maintain contract financial status information, and develop contract close-out letters and reports.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the development of contract specifications, or determination of contract performance.<\/li>\n<li>Review various contract related documents.<\/li>\n<li>Input, verify and monitor information logs for noticeable issues.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor emails for questions, complaints, debrief requests and\/or protest filings.<\/li>\n<li>Review bank deposit reports, shift summaries, credit card transaction reports, and receipts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/dd>\n<dt>Qualifications<\/dt>\n<dd>\n<p><strong>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>High school graduation or equivalent.<\/li>\n<li>Two (2) years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, budgeting, contracting or purchasing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, or public administration, or a closely related field.<\/li>\n<li>Two (2) years of relevant experience in the development, administration, or termination of contracts.<\/li>\n<li>Proficient in Microsoft Office products Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook including the ability to create, edit, modify and delete documents and spreadsheets.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and concisely, both written and oral.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to perform basic and some complex mathematical calculations.<\/li>\n<li>Take personal responsibility for actions and decisions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/dd>\n<dt>Supplemental Information<\/dt>\n<dd>\n<div>To ensure consideration, please complete the online job application and profile at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.careers.wa.gov\/\">www.careers.wa.gov<\/a>.
