Examples of specialized experience may include: Serving as contract specialist responsible for all aspects of contract transactions for several activities in several geographic areas, or for an agency, a department or departments; creating all types of federal contract types; experience with federal procurement software; administering all types federal contract types; defining requirements into contract line items, performance based outcomes, statements of work, or statements of requirements; communicating contract information in writing. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
